Last Tuesday saw the CaSE 2013 Annual Lecture, given by the Chief Scientific Adviser to the President of the European Commission, Professor Anne Glover CBE.
The event was kindly hosted by the Zoological Society of London, with over 200 delegates in attendance from across industry, academia, learned societies and the general public.
In her stimulating and informative lecture, entitled ‘What’s the use of Evidence?’, Professor Glover set the challenges facing Pan-European scientific collaboration in the 21st Century, and examined how we can find better ways of ensuring that the knowledge we produce is used to make smarter policies and better lives.
The lecture was followed by a lively Q&A session with Professor Glover, chaired by CaSE Director Dr Sarah Main.
You can listen to a full recording of the debate and Q&A below.
The evening was followed by a reception event. To view photos of the lecture and the reception see here.
