CaSE are delighted to welcome Anglia Ruskin University, MSD and PraxisAuril as new organisational members.

Commenting on the announcement, Dr Sarah Main, Executive Director of the Campaign for the Science and Engineering, said:

"I am delighted to welcome Anglia Ruskin, MSD and PraxisAuril as new members of CaSE. With these organisations joining today, CaSE now represents one hundred and seventeen organisations from across the science and engineering sector, the largest figure in its history.

These three new members, representing academia, business, and knowledge exchange, will add to our already diverse membership and ensure that CaSE remains a strong, independent and authoritative voice for science and engineering.

We look forward to working with them all in helping to secure the skills, funding and policies to enable UK science and engineering to thrive"

Professor Roderick Watkins, Acting Vice Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University:

"Science and engineering – ranging from public health to animal biology to built environment – are among Anglia Ruskin’s core areas of expertise. In the autumn we signed a partnership with Public Health England to carry out research and to develop the workforce at their new headquarters in Harlow. And we are investing in a range of cutting-edge facilities ourselves, having recently opened Britain’s newest School of Medicine in Chelmsford and a £45million science centre on our Cambridge campus.

“We are therefore delighted to be joining CaSE, helping to develop the education, skills and research agendas within science and engineering, as well as highlighting the importance of the sector to the wider community."

Laura Newby, Associate Director of Policy and Government Relations, MSD:

"MSD is delighted to join the Campaign for Science and Engineering in 2019.  The Campaign’s work to support the UK science base is valuable, and strongly evidence led.  MSD is committed to implementing the vision for a vibrant life sciences environment here in the UK and values this opportunity to engage with the wider science and engineering community."

Maxine Ficarra, CEO, PraxisAuril:

"I’m delighted that PraxisAuril is becoming a member of CaSE and adding our members’ expertise to the campaign. PraxisAuril represents professionals working in Knowledge Exchange in universities and research institutions: a strong and diverse UK research base is fundamental to their work and we believe that it should be protected and funded to thrive.

Our members sit at the interface between researchers and external collaborators so being part of conversations that bring these ‘two worlds’ together is vital to our mission. CaSE’s broad membership will enable us to have more of those good conversations going forward, providing opportunities for PraxisAuril contribute to innovation policy and practice."
