CaSE has published a two page briefing, setting out the current UK Government advice structures and recommendations on how to improve them.
This briefing note is taken from CaSE's report Improving use of evidence in UK government policymaking, published in April 2017 with University College London.
This work explores structures, processes and practice for science advice in government and makes recommendations to strengthen them. We want to see government taking an increasingly evidence-informed approach to policymaking so that expertise, evidence and knowledge can be used to make policies smarter and, ultimately, lives better.
