As CaSE strives to increase its representation in Wales, we are pleased to announce that the Learned Society of Wales (LSW) is a new member of CaSE.
CaSE welcomes the Learned Society of Wales as a new member
25 Oct 2016
The LSW is an independent, all-Wales, self-governing, pan-discipline educational charity that was established back in 2010. As Wales’s first National Academy of science and letters, the Learned Society of Wales, like similar societies in Ireland and Scotland, brings together the most successful and talented Fellows connected with Wales, for the shared purpose and common good of advancing and promoting excellence in all scholarly discipline across Wales.
Sir Emyr Jones Parry, President of the LSW:
“The Society’s membership of CaSE reflects our commonality of interest, promotion of science and scholarship, which are so vital to our national interest.”
Professor Graeme Reid, Chair of CaSE said:
“The Learned Society of Wales has a vital role in and beyond Wales. I am delighted that the LSW has joined the CaSE and I look forward to working with them to promote the interests of the science and engineering community to Governments in both Cardiff and London.”
CaSE are keen to ensure the needs of the whole science and engineering community are being heard at the highest levels of government. If you are interested in finding out more about organisational membership of CaSE please contact Sharleni Inbanathan.
