Call for evidence on voter attitudes

To help R&D organisations prepare for, and navigate, the fragmenting political environment, CaSE is producing an evidence-led review on how the shifting voter landscape will affect R&D advocacy, with practical insights to guide R&D organisations towards the right messages at the right moments.

Our first step was to analyse existing evidence sources on voter attitudes and extract any R&D-related insights. These included reports or data sets from organisations in the R&D community, as well as other external sources.

As part of this evidence gathering, we were also keen to understand the sector’s priorities in this area, and looked to identify any knowledge gaps or insights that would be especially helpful for our collective advocacy and engagement with political parties.

Although the initial call for evidence closed in early march, we welcome you getting in touch by email to casepublicopinion@sciencecampaign.org.uk if you would like to know more about this project.

R&D in a shifting voter landscape

We asked CaSE members and the wider sector to get in touch with:

Whether they would like to be invited to participate further in the project as it develops.
What concerns they have for R&D advocacy within the shifting voter landscape, and what insights would most help their organisation to engage with political parties in the months ahead.
Which insights or data – from within or outside the sector – they would like CaSE to draw into its review of R&D's advocacy position within the shifting voter landscape.
