Making R&D Matter to Government

Join us on Wednesday 11 September to explore the political realities of getting R&D onto the government’s agenda, through the eyes of those with first-hand experience.

In the iconic Royal Institution lecture theatre, we’ll discuss the political landscape ahead for R&D, and consider the value of public support in getting our messages heard.

Following a keynote address from Secretary of State for Science, Innovation, and Technology, Rt Hon Peter Kyle MP, CaSE Executive Director Dr Alicia Greated will be joined by a panel of experts:

  • Ben Johnson, Professor of Practice, Research and Innovation Policy, University of Strathclyde
  • Dr George Dibb, Associate Director for Economic Policy and Head of the Centre for Economic Justice, IPPR
