Political Engagement

Clear recommendations for Government and other policy makers to ensure that R&D can flourish.

We work with our members and the R&D community to develop our recommendations. We engage with the full range of political decision-makers at national, devolved and local levels. This includes responding to consultations, writing letters to MPs and contributing our voice through the media.

R&D in a shifting voter landscape

A new evidence-led review exploring how shifts across the full breadth of the voter landscape might affect R&D advocacy, providing practical insights and messaging guidance for R&D advocates to use through the 2026 party conferences and beyond.

2025-2026

Holyrood and Senedd elections

CaSE is using the opportunity offered by the upcoming elections in Scotland and Wales to raise the profile of R&D and forge stronger connections with politicians in Holyrood and the Senedd.

MPs to Watch

Following the 2024 General Election, CaSE has drawn up a list of those MPs with an interest or background in science, technology, engineering, maths or medicine (STEMM) or R&D.

This list is to help identify those in Westminster who might be advocates for R&D.
