Download our representation to the 2021 Spending Review
CaSE has been undertaking a significant body of work ahead of this years crucial Spending Review. Our formal representation can be downloaded here or using the link on the right hand side. Alongside this formal representation, we produced a five point roadmap to enable the UK to become a 'science superpower'.
Last week CaSE published analysis shows the effect of the Government delaying reaching its R&D target by three years – a potential loss of £11bn of private investment. CaSE has also published further analysis showing that the UK has stagnated on R&D over last 20 years as comparator nations have rushed forward, and that the UK target for the next five years is least ambitious of comparator nations – other nations pushing for much further and faster R&D growth.
CaSE also joined 32 other leading organisations to call on the Chancellor to use the upcoming Spending Review to commit to delivering £22bn of public investment in R&D by 2024/25.
